In less than a month, the second season of “Fear The Walking Dead” will finally start on AMC. The official teaser trailer and a new poster reveal what new dangers await the survivors.
When the first season of "Fear The Walking Dead" left us with episode 6, the main characters had just managed to escape from Los Angeles to the coast. There they were taken in by a mysterious man named Victor Strand at his mansion, which had an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and Strand's luxurious yacht. As series creator Robert Kirkman announced early on, the survivors in the upcoming second season of "Fear The Walking Dead" will indeed save themselves on the water - but is this such a clever idea? If we look at the new teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes, the dangers out at sea don't seem to be getting any less. And even the walkers seem to be adapting to the wet conditions - whatever the case may be.
The motto of the official poster fits it quite well: "No safe harbor" - and thus possibly no break for our blended family in their daily struggle for survival. Showrunner Dave Erickson has already announced that escaping to sea may not be the smartest choice for our troupe, as Madison, Travis, Alicia, Nick & Co. are initially well taken care of on Strand's luxurious yacht, but call this circumstance naturally also attracted numerous envious people. As we can already see in the teaser trailer, many other survivors will also have the idea of fleeing out to sea - but in large groups on smaller inflatable boats, which is why the sight of the giant yacht will certainly arouse various desires. How will our survivors deal with this?
"Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2: Teaser Trailer and Poster
The second season of "Fear The Walking Dead" includes a total of 15 episodes, which will be broadcast in two blocks: The start of the first seven episodes is on Sunday, April 10, 2016, on AMC and one day later, as always, again on Amazon Prime Instant Video. Thus, FTWD starts one week after the season finale of «The Walking Dead» season 6, which allows us to immerse ourselves in the TWD universe for several months at a time without interruption. It is not yet known when the second block with episodes 8-15 will start, but with a view to the start of "The Walking Dead" season 7 in the fall, it should probably be in July/August again.
