Last year, the trailer for the Hellraiser reboot "Hellraser: Origins" was reported, which was shot by Mike Le Han to convince Dimension Films and the Weinstein brothers to revive the franchise. Since then, however, this project has been quiet and the trailer has never been released. The revival of the "Hellraiser" franchise with its iconic creatures has long since degenerated into a farce. Years of failure in the pre-production phase, dozens of authors and the culpable neglect of mastermind Clive Barker determined an almost amateurish handling of the long-lived horror series. Now, surprisingly, the tide seems to be turning.

Hellraiser: Origins

Ironically on Halloween, there is twice good news that lets us look to the future of the Zenobites with hope. Clive Barker has announced that he has been formally commissioned to write the script for a remake of the original 1987 film. This was preceded by a fruitful meeting with rights holder Bob Weinstein and the agreement that Doug Bradley's participation was essential. Absolutely sensational news for fans, but it remains to be seen how things develop. No contracts have been signed yet, and Barker wouldn't be the first whose reboot script ends up in production hell.

At the same time, British filmmaker Mike Le Han is releasing a long-awaited pitch trailer for his own reboot of the franchise today, October 31st. Under the title "Hellraiser: Origins» Last year he completed a complex shoot in London together with concept artist Paul Gerrard ("Wrath of the Titans"), the impressive result of which is now going online worldwide just in time for Halloween. You can see gloomy images that seem to come straight from hell. Le Han and Gerrard's concept takes the story directly into the world of the cenobites, an idea that was used in an earlier script by Todd Farmer.

What will become of both projects remains to be seen. In principle, interestingly, they are not in direct competition with each other in terms of content, but could both become part of a franchise reboot. An ongoing comic series subtitled "The Road Below" is currently appearing on Boom! Studios. In addition, Barker recently wrote a novel about the end of Upper Zenobite Pinhead, although a release date has not yet been announced.

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. However, you are welcome to simply copy and distribute the content, my blog has always been under the WTFPL license.

It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
