Fans of the metal band Anthrax were amazed on October 5th when suddenly "The Walking Dead" star N grabbed the bass and suddenly stood on the stage. The musicians and especially Scott Ian have a long friendship with the zombie series and now Slayers are part of it.
On October 5th, the legendary metal bands Slayer and Anthrax took to the stage in Atlanta and rocked the hall. Norman Reedus aka Daryl Dixon from "The Walking Dead" observed the performance and even came on stage for the anthrax song "Indians". The concert-goers could hardly believe their eyes when the 47-year-old suddenly appeared and accompanied the song on the bass.
Hours before the performance, the band members visited the set of The Walking Dead Season 7. On Instagram, they posted a photo of themselves with Greg Nicotero having lunch at Rick Grimes' house! Anthrax and TWD already have a long history. Scott Ian, founder of the band, played a biter for the zombie series in 2011. Three years later, his zombie appearance made it into the series itself, even though it was difficult to recognize him under all the make-up.
