The free-to-play mobile title «Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast» is now available free of charge for iOS and Android. The setting is a universe consisting of "an ever-expanding series of worlds based on the music and artwork of Iron Maiden." Eddie appears in different forms, each representing a part of Iron Maiden's history and each having special powers and abilities. In 1999, Iron Maiden's foray into the gaming business with the game "Ed Hunter" turned out to be a boring product that nobody really wanted to play. The action title "Legacy Of The Beast", which has what it takes to become a mobile game hit, is completely different.

The band developed «Legacy Of The Beast» in collaboration with Roadhouse, and the soundtrack naturally features several Maiden classics as well as some previously unreleased live recordings. In "Legacy Of the Beast" you have to hunt down numerous villains with band mascot Eddie and gamble your way through different game worlds based on the classic cover artworks. "We've always wanted to make a good Maiden mobile game because we think the combination of Eddie and the music lends itself so well to that - and it's a great way to introduce our music to new audiences," comments bassist Steve Harris.
As Eddie you fight your way through the mystical worlds of the Iron Maiden tradition and are accompanied by the sounds of heavy metal legends. The task is simple: The player not only has to put the remains of Eddie's soul back together, but also save the universe. How good that Eddie comes in many forms and varieties, all of which have special powers. Gradually you improve your own Eddie group and strengthen it with dozen talisman sets. The classes available are warriors, magicians, guards, shooters or assassins. The mobile game impresses with well-designed 3D graphics, and for music fans there are previously unpublished versions of Maiden classics.
